An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic Medical Photography Department.
Medical Photographer Band 5 1.0 WTE - 18 months fixed term
Would you like to start, or develop, your career in medical photography in a dynamic, supportive team based in thestate-of-the-art medical photography facility in the Brunel Building.
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated individual with a degree in medical photography or a degree in photography plus relevant clinical experience. In addition, the successful candidate will be AHCS registered/eligible or qualified to a registerable level.
The department provides a critical service supporting excellent care across the Trust and you will be delivering a high-quality comprehensive service including medical photography/video (studio/ward/clinic/theatre) and ophthalmic photography. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, and a thorough understanding of image management / digital technology is essential.
You will support the department leadership by ensuring the quality and consistency of photographs and videos produced by the department as well as maintaining IMI QAS Level 2, undertaking regular audits and training with the team as required and working with the Head of Department/Seniors Photographers to continually develop and improve the service.
You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently, and with the team, to manage the workload and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
Main duties of the job

To provide a medical photography/video service to inpatients and outpatients of NBT as part of their medical records, medico-legal work, research, teaching and/or publication.
