Job summary

BWPC are seeking a tech-savvy Purchasing Systems Analyst with great customer service skills to join our Procurement Transformation and Systems team based at Southmead Hospital. This role will supporting the wider Procurement team in delivery of their procurement activity, and the wider Trusts with first-line systems support for procuring goods and services. This is a busy and varied role with a focus on attention to detail and solving problems.

A typical working day will include:

  • Providing first-line support and training for Procurement colleagues and Trust staff with system functionality, ordering processes and procedures, and ad-hoc requests and queries
  • Daily processing of systems administration requests - i.e. user setup, ordering location creation, system interface checks
  • Analysing large procurement datasets
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects
  • Production of routine reporting requirements

The role is stimulating, demanding and rewarding and a great opportunity for the successful applicant to start their procurement journey in a systems support type role.

Main duties of the job

The Transformation and Systems team works to support the wider procurement team in BWPC and its clients, and is responsible for maintaining the department's current suite of systems, managing data and reporting requirements from these systems, and ensuring compliance of processes and policy in these areas.

The role is varied and will provide experience of managing IT systems, engaging with a variety of stakeholders, analysing data, and dealing with routine and ad-hoc requests and queries. There will also be opportunities to get involved in website management and more detailed data modelling and visualisation activities using the suite of systems in the team.

You will need to be resilient, resourceful and passionate about helping teams to use the procurement processes and systems effectively and be an advocate for the BWPC brand in the Trust.
