About us

North Bristol NHS Trust is the regional specialty centre for Neurosciences, within our state of the art hospital we provide Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neuro-psychiatry and the newly developed Hyper Acute Stroke services.

We have the opportunity for a permanent senior physiotherapist to rotate across all these services - Hyper Acute Stoke Unit, Community Stroke service, Neurorehabilitation in critical care, Neurology, Neurosurgery , and Neuropsychiatry. This is an excellent further development role for those who have a neuroscience bias. Each area has strong Clinical leadership in place to provide support, there are opportunities to work in experienced MDT, contribute and lead in our well developed QI programme and also teach and develop junior staff and students.

The patient caseload is complex and challenging at times with a fast based acute focus. We are looking for a senior physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering high quality, evidence based service to our patients. You should have good general band 5/6 experience in an acute setting and further senior experience within neuroscience settings. Your career goal will be to develop yourself as a specialist and leader within the neuroscience physiotherapy field.

Rotations are 12 months in length, there is well established induction programme and CPD in each area and within the physiotherapy service as a whole.
