Are you a proactive, and passionate AHP or nurse, committed to reducing the incidence and impact of inpatient falls?
If so, Southmead Hospital is looking for you. The post will involve working Monday - Friday for 15 hours a week and will be based at Southmead Hospital, as well as working collaboratively with our partners across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
Main duties of the job
- To provide expert patient safety advice, clinical guidance, and evidence-based knowledge in falls prevention for all services across NBT to accomplish a reduction in harmful falls incidents in adults, particularly among older people.
- The post holder will work closely with Matrons, and Divisional Directors of Nursing across divisional and Trust boundaries in the interest of patient care.
- To contribute to NBTs falls improvement programmes participating in quality improvement projects and transformational programmes of work which positively impact both our organisation and the wider system population to reduce the incidence of falls and associated harm.
- To provide clinical leadership and expertise in the development and delivery of training in relation to falls prevention to improve and maintain knowledge and competence within the NBT workforce.
