Due to considerable investment in the Imaging Department, we are delighted to advertise five substantive Consultant Radiologist posts at North Bristol NHS Trust. These include:
1 Consultant Uro-Radiologist
1 Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in soft tissue sarcoma
1 Consultant Nuclear Medicine Radiologist
2 Consultant General Radiologist posts with a sub-specialist interest in a choice of MSK/ GI/ GU imaging
Main duties of the job
The North Bristol NHS Trust Imaging Department provides a full imaging service to cover the Hospital's role as a major acute Trust, as well as a teritary and quarteriny centre for multiple medical and surgical regional specialist services. Southmead Hospital is also a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre. Emergency imaging is provided by SpRs supported by general, interventional, neuroradiology and neuro-interventional radiology consultants each with their own 24/7 rota. From 0000-0800 emergency scans are outsourced to a external reporting company. All Consultant Radiologists have the ability to undertake reporting from home if desired.

Qualifications
Essential
- FRCR or equivalent
- Must have CCT in Clinical Radiology and have been entered on the GMC Specialist Register at the time of the appointment
Desirable
- Higher academic qualification (e.g. MD or MS).
Training and Experience
Essential
- Must meet the Essential Experience Requirements detailed within the job being applied for
Desirable
- Experience of major trauma service.
Audit

- Experience in audit project and written up
