We have an exciting opportunity to join the ECT and Clozaril department at Humber as the Team Lead / Clinical Lead - which will cover clinical and operational duties. We would welcome applications from Registered Mental Health Nurses, General Nurses and Learning disability Nurses. The need for experience within mental health is essential.
The role requires the candidate to embrace and promote change and you must be able to demonstrate your adaptability to various situations. The ideal candidate will always have at the forefront of their mind, the need to support service users, carers, and the staff team in a positive, responsive, and compassionate manner
The ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team, is essential. The position is Monday to Friday; however, we do offer flexible working options to meet both the candidates and service need.
Main duties of the job
- The Team Lead will lead and manage the Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) suite and the co-ordination and delivery of ECT service ensuring it meets accepted quality and safety standards in accordance with national and local guidelines. You will continue to ensure that we meet ECT Accredited Service (ECTAS) standards and ensuring the department remain accredited.
- It would be a requirement that you complete your ECT training and competencies if not already completed.
- The team also manage people who require monitoring for their Clozaril medication in the Hull area. There is a need to have an excellent understanding of physical health monitoring as well.
- Utilising creativity and engagement skills, the co-management of a diverse multi-disciplinary group will be central to this role. Working closely with the Modern Matron, Service Manager and other senior professionals, you will be supported and encouraged to progress. The successful candidate will be motivated and passionate for the ongoing pursuit of excellent care
