Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join a dynamic, forward-thinking multidisciplinary team based at Newbridges.

Newbridges is an 18-bedded adult male psychiatric inpatient unit. As a newly appointed member of staff, you will work alongside a well-established multidisciplinary team, including colleagues from Medical, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, and Pharmacy services. You will also work closely with external partners and other professionals to develop and deliver effective packages of care, supporting patients to return to their usual environment safely and efficiently.

Main duties of the job

Staff wellbeing and support are central to our values, and we have a range of well-established systems in place to promote this. These include regular clinical and managerial supervision, weekly reflective practice sessions, and twice-yearly team away days.

As a Registered Nurse at Newbridges and a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will deliver a high standard of specialist care through the use of formal assessments, therapeutic and diversionary activities, and safe medication management. Care at Newbridges is delivered using a trauma-informed approach, ensuring patients are supported with sensitivity, respect, and compassion.
