We are actively recruiting for role within the East Riding Mental Health Support Teams, and welcome applications from qualified professionals who can bring their expertise to this essential work.

Our teams work directly with schools and colleges to support children and young people aged 5 to 18. With a focus on whole-school approaches, consultation, and collaborative support, we aim to enhance mental wellbeing across educational settings.

Key elements of the role include:

To deliver low intensity psychological interventions as part of a wider offerFacilitating parent-led workshops and creative-based interventionsProviding advice, guidance, and consultation to schools and the wider systemSupporting mild to moderate mental health needs

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate, with appropriate supervision, will work as an autonomous and responsible practitioner, according to their professional training and within the scope of their local job description. Key aspects of the role include:

Delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people in educational settings who experience mild to moderate mental health difficultiesAssisting children and young people with more complex needs to rapidly access specialist mental health servicesSupporting and guiding educational staff in identifying and managing mental health and wellbeing issuesWorking collaboratively within educational environments to improve access to mental health services, using professional expertise to strengthen and complement existing wellbeing initiativesProviding peer support and mentorship to trainees and other qualified practitionersTraveling independently across the locality to deliver services as needed
