Join us as a Clinical Psychologist at Inspire our new Children & Young People's Intensive Mental Health Day Service, launching Spring 2026.
This is a Band 7-8a developmental post opportunity, with structured progression during the development phase.
Inspire brings together CAMHS inpatient, day treatment and community intensive support to support a truly family-focused, trauma-informed alternative to hospital admission.
Staff will work flexibly across inpatient, day service and community pathways, delivering trauma-informed interventions with young people, parents and carers. Using AMBIT's mentalisation-based, team strengthening approach, you will help co-ordinate complex multi-agency networks, build trust, and embed sustainable skills within families and partners.
Our pathway provides 12 weeks of intensive day service intervention followed by 9 months of community support, , reducing relapse and keeping young people safely at home.
If you are an innovative, reflective and forward-thinking clinician who wants to shape a new service from the ground up, Inspire would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
Provide high-quality psychological services for children and young people within CAMHS inpatient and Avoiding Admissions services. Deliver specialist assessments, evidence-based interventions, and therapeutic programmes for young people and families. Offer consultation, training, and reflective practice to partner agencies. Provide clinical supervision for staff and trainees, contribute to research, audit, and service development, and embed trauma-informed care principles.
The start date will be agreed with the successful candidate to align with the launch of the Day Service in Spring 2026, allowing sufficient time for induction and training prior to service commencement.
