Job summary

The Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Bridlington and Driffield Community Mental Health Team. This service covers the historic market towns of Bridlington and Driffield, as well as the surrounding rural villages and picturesque coastal areas. This post provides an exciting opportunity to work in a mixed demographic population - predominantly rural and coastal, with areas of both affluence and social deprivation, offering a diverse and rewarding clinical caseload.

The post holder will not have responsibility for inpatient care, allowing for a focused community-based role. The team is well-established, with strong multi-disciplinary working and a supportive leadership structure that values innovation, quality improvement, and work-life balance.

This service holds three clinics per week, each with three patients. A remote clinic is held on Mondays, whilst the clinics held on Tuesdays and Thursdays are held in Bridlington and Driffield respectively. The patient ratio is currently around 60/40 (60% follow ups and 40% new patients) as the service have had a lot of new patients this year.

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

  • MRCPsych
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
