Apply for our Community Nursing Associate vacancy in Scarborough where you will provide assessment & care to patients in their own place of residence. You will have a planned induction including a training programme delivered by our specialist nurses, & for newly qualified staff we have a preceptorship programme. Our clear competency framework helps you know what is expected within your role & development of your competencies will be planned with support from your line manager. We are a 24/7 service with a variety of shifts. As a community role this requires a driving licence, access to a car and confidence for lone working including visiting patients in their own homes with access to colleagues by phone for support and advice when required and a team office base to work from.
Main duties of the job
- Holistic patient assessment, formulation and reviewing of care plans
- Management of pressure ulcers & wounds
- Palliative & end of life care
- Bladder & bowel care including catheterisation and continence assessments
- Medicines Management
- Injections (sub cut & IM)
- Phlebotomy
- Carrying out ECGs
- Provision of equipment to support care
