Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join Hull Core CAMHS Admin team. The role includes secretarial support to Consultant Psychiatrists and administration support to the wider team.
Candidates must be organised and able to work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable nature are essential for this role, especially during telephone contact with patients, staff and the general public.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role includes providing medical secretarial support to Consultant Psychiatrists and administrative support across Core CAMHS as directed by the Admin Team Lead.
As part of the role, you will be required to process referrals on our electronic patient record systems (System one) and organise and minute meetings. You will utilise Outlook calendar scheduling and monitor inboxes. You will support with data collection and completion, compiling spread sheets, arranging appointments and the ordering of equipment and materials when required.
You will also be responsible for supervising and training less experienced staff.
The post holder will work as an essential member of the Core CAMHS admin team and support in delivering an effective, efficient, responsive and high-quality service.
- To provide administrative support to clinical teams / Consultant Psychiatrists / Clinical & Service Managers and support services team within standard administrative procedures and contribute to the planning and development of the service.
- Develop, implement and improve office policies and procedures.
- To induct and mentor/supervise less experienced staff, overseeing and delegating tasks as required.
- To co-ordinate the work of clinicians.
