Job summary
A vacancy has arisen for a 22.5 hour part time Administration Assistant within the Health Records Department, based at Mary Seacole Building, Willerby Hill, Beverley Road, Willerby.
The post involves dealing with requests for medical records and use of computer systems for retrieval and recording of data. This entails the retrieval and dispatch of files to and from other units within the Trust.
You should have word processing/keyboard skills of RSA Stage II or its equivalent (e.g VDU inputting experience) together with good communications and customer service skills.
You should be able to work accurately within given deadlines under supervision. There is moderate amount of physical activity required in this post.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role will include:
- To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Medical Records Department, Information Governance and Legal Services
- Work within standard administrative procedures
- Contribute to the planning and development of the service/department as a member of the team.
- Initiates, retrieves, and files health records.
- Sorts and filters out case notes.
- Responds to routine requests for information.
