Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic , creative and forward thinking person to lead on involvement, engagement and co production across both forensic inpatient and community services.

This post within the Forensic services at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is an exciting new post to the service which can provide a unique developmental opportunity for the right candidate. It is anticipated that there may be some developmental needs and the successful candidate will be supported to meet the requirements of the role. The post holder must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the knowledge and experience to embed high quality participation, engagement and co production working alongside service users, family, friends and staff in a wide variety of involvement activities. The post holder will work in an inclusive way that respects a trauma focused approach to care and work practice.

Main duties of the job

To promote a positive collaborative culture.

To lead on the coordination and operational delivery of Involvement, co production and lived experience across the forensic division for both inpatient and community services.

To actively listen and involve the service users and family/friends voice in Trust services and activities.

Report on progress around involvement and engagement to the divisional operational manager, clinical lead and governor/board members regarding forensic services engagement in Trust activities.

To support service leads to ensure that their workstreams and programmes are actively engaging, participating, and coproducing with service users to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality services.

To recruit and coordinate service users, family, friends and staff with lived experience to take part in engagement activities and planning.

To support the patient council members to organise monthly meetings.

To lead on strategic and operational requirements to recruit, embed and maintain service user involvement.

Working alongside people with lived experience and the internal communications team, to produce a range of materials (regular briefings, newsletter content, board updates, social media content etc) in easy-to-read format to ensure that service users, family/friends and staff are kept informed of the review progress
