Job summary
The Trust is seeking a part-time speciality doctor in child and adolescent psychiatry to join the existing established multi-disciplinary team that supports the neurodiversity service working mainly with children and young people diagnosed with ADHD. This is a post in the neurodiversity service, working with colleagues across CAMHS inpatient and outpatient services.
The Hull and ERY Children's Neurodiversity Service is aimed at children and young people aged 0 - 18 years (and will work with system partners to further develop the 18 to 25 years offer) with neurodiverse needs who are registered with a Hull or ERY GP, and/or attending a Hull or ERY school/educational setting.
The scope of this service includes intellectual disability and neurodevelopmental conditions, also known as neurodiversity, but prioritised on those needs/conditions that cause the most pressure on the system initially. There are various iterations of the definition of these conditions (identified locally, at the Hull and East Riding 'Let's Talk Neuro..., Event, 2019' that reflect the potential future scope of the service and related conditions as the service/system support develops. Although not a requirement, it is expected that children and young people with special education need and/or disabilities (SEND) are likely to be core users of this service (Source: Hull and East Riding Joint Needs Assessments, 2021).
