Job summary

We are excited to be looking for motivated and experience ASD/ ADHD Diagnosticians.

The role will be responsible for delivering and leading advanced clinical care to their own caseload and service within their speciality area. In doing so, they will use advanced specialist skills to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient centred programmes of care ensuring that they practice within their sphere of competence and knowledge.

You will be working with our existing team of dedicated ASD/ADHD assessment team covering Hull and East Riding. Applicants should have experience of working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions and undertaking MDT ASD and ADHD assessments in line with N.I.C.E guidelines.

They will be responsible for developing new and innovative clinical practices responding to emerging knowledge and techniques.

Provide flexible work patterns that meet your quality of life expectations and lifestyle needs (10 sessions per week for full time role).

Main duties of the job

  • To practice autonomously without direct supervision.
  • To utilise advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, treat and refer patients requiring the clinical service
  • To recognise the need for, initiate and where appropriate interpretrelevant diagnostic investigations.
  • To recognise the need for and initiate where appropriate advice of relevant specialisms.
  • To demonstrate advanced clinical skills in ASD and/or ADHD assessments and provide leadership, training and supervision of staff undertaking assessments as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
  • To liaise closely with other members of the MDT to ensure a detailed and complete diagnostic assessment is completed in line with NICE guidance, demonstrating skill and confidence in identifying the need for further specialist in person assessment.
  • Act as lead senior practitioner to provide clinical/managerial leadership for the team in the absence of other senior team members
  • Be responsible for ensuring clinical outcome data is appropriately collated and routinely recorded to the Trust and professional clinical regulatory body standards
  • To employ excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to promote multi-disciplinary and interagency liaison and collaborative practice to broad range of audiences, including other professionals and service users
