The Speech and Language Therapy team recently won a HSJ award for their project work in the community and is a very friendly and supportive team to join.

Main duties of the job

You will work across the region in community settings, seeing individuals in their homes, in day centres and in respite provision. You will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team and will be joining a supportive and friendly Speech and Language Therapy team. You will receive regular high quality supervision and will work through mentorship on national competencies to become responsible for your own autonomous practice.

You will be able to demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and a keen interest in the area of adult learning disability and will be providing assessment and interventions to individuals with complex communication difficulties. Experience in the management of dysphagia is desirable but not essential. Additional dysphagia training will be provided for the successful candidate.
