The communications team is responsible for internal and external communications to a wide range of stakeholders. This new role will work with our supportive and creative communications team to develop, update and maintain current and future service websites.
As health care and prevention changes, we are engaging more of our service users and their families online. Our network of service websites communicates with specific audiences to support access to care, treatment and support.
Your background in digital account management or web development will make you well placed to support our teams commissioning, developing and maintaining web presence for the services we run.
This includes briefing new projects, ensuring current sites are up to date and that all sites are managed in line with best practice.
Experience with content management systems, SEO and analytics is essential as is an awareness of website development techniques and how to brief developers.
The role will also create content for social media and update and develop digital newsletters.
Main duties of the job
- Contribute to the delivery of the communications strategy.
- Support teams to plan and produce high quality digital content in line with their strategic objectives, tailored to specific audiences and optimised for digital channels
- Write effective briefs for new websites and work with developers/development agencies managing projects from inception to completion.
- Establish, build and maintain good working relationships with services to ensure websites are up to date at all times.
- Deliver reports on website performance including recommendations for improvements works
- Using specialist knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation and Google Analytics continuously improve the organisation's digital presence
- Writing clear, creative and effective copy for websites, newsletters and social media.
- Proof-read and copy-edit online and print publications.
- Work with the wider communications team to exploit the possibilities offered by digital channels including social media and others in communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the management and development of the Trust's brand and corporate identity across internal and external communications channels; undertake design work to deliver visual collateral to help communicate with and engage staff, patients and stakeholders.
- Act as a Communications Partner for a clinical division to support communications requirements
- Support and undertake administrative tasks to assist the day to day running of the team.
