An exciting opportunity has opened for a Band 7 Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the internationally renowned St Mark's Hospital, part of London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and based at Central Middlesex Hospital.
As a key member of our specialist IBD service, you'll work alongside an expert multidisciplinary team including IBD consultants, surgeons, clinical fellows, dietitians, pharmacists, and psychological support services. Education and Qualifications
Essential
- RGN
- Registered with NMC
- BSC in IBD/GI Nursing
- Evdience of further education pertaining to speciality
- Completed or working on Physical assessment & Non-medical prescriber Modules
Desirable
- MSC in Advanced Practice or working towards
- IBD Module Level 6 or 7
- Completed or working on Physical assessment & Non-medical prescriber Modules
- Evidence of presentating on IBD at local or National level
- Active member of the Royal College of Nuring (RCN) GI forum or IBD Network
Knowlegge and experience
Essential
- o2-3 years post registration experience in GI/surgical/colorectal nursing
- oExperience of managing own workload and competent in prioritising workload
- oUp to date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues related to GI/surgical nursing
- oAdvanced knowledge of the GI tract anatomy, physiology and disease processes
- oExcellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills
