Job summary
The Registered Nursing Associate will work as part of the nursing workforce, supporting Registered Nurses to deliver high quality, person-centred, compassionate care to patients. They will deliver planned care to a group of patients working within the standards of proficiency outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and in accordance with Trust policies and protocols. The post holder will be a member of the Immunisation team. They will undertake duties as directed by PGD's, Trust Policy and the Maternity management team ensuring the provision of a high standard of Care and Health Promotion. The care will be provided in a clinic and ward setting. They will demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide support / guidance to less experienced staff / learners within the clinical environment as needed.
Main duties of the job
Demonstrates professionalism and integrity working in accordance with the NMC Standards of proficiency for Nursing Associates; NMC Code, Trust policies, protocols and guidelines at all times
To deliver Pertussis, RSV and Seasonal Flu Vaccinations to pregnant women during the antenatal period
Recognises and consistently works within limits of competence
Is accountable for own practice and for appropriate delegation of care he/ she gives to Nursing Associate Trainees, Health Care Support Workers or nursing students
Demonstrates professional behaviours and attitudes in accordance with the Trust CARE values and behaviours framework
Act in the best interest of patients, relatives and carers at all times

- Apprenticeship qualification at academic level 5. Maths and English at GCSE grades 4-9 or equivalent
