Robotic Assisted Surgery Transformation Lead

The closing date is 09 March 2026

Job summary

The post holder is a key member of the LNWUH Transformation Team, leading the delivery and embedding of Transformation and Quality Improvement principles through the Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS) programme. They will drive delivery of benefits outlined in the RAS business case, promote adoption of robotic systems across all Trust sites, and identify opportunities for improvement within LNWH theatres.

Working closely with surgical specialties and stakeholders, the role will support implementation and integration of RAS into routine practice to ensure high-quality patient care. The role requires strong engagement skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to support and oversee improvement projects aligned to quality, experience and value. Acting autonomously, the post holder will prioritise workloads, meet agreed deadlines, and occasionally deputise for senior colleagues.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to hold teams to account and collaborate effectively with services and industry partners. The role involves handling sensitive and complex information, communicating change initiatives with diplomacy and political awareness, and presenting complex or potentially contentious information to diverse stakeholder groups.

Main duties of the job

Lead and support delivery of the RAS programme to meet strategic targets across Ealing, Northwick Park, and Central Middlesex hospitals.

Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams to develop, create value, and drive improvement to the RAS programme.

Develop and implement innovative improvement tools and materials to support consistent, high-quality delivery.

Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor to clinical, operational, finance, and external partners.

Plan, organise, and manage projects, recommending adjustments to plans and strategies where needed.

Produce clear visual materials, reports, and programme documentation for internal and external audiences.

Deliver presentations and updates, including to large multidisciplinary forums.

Ensure projects are delivered on time with measurable benefits realised.

Apply and promote improvement methodologies, refining project tracking tools to maximise efficiency and time to care.

Maintain risk registers, monitor project interdependencies, and recommend mitigating actions.

Attend professional forums and deputise for transformation or surgical leads when required.

Contribute to the wider elective improvement agenda through workshops, pathway mapping, rapid improvement events, and ongoing evaluation of improvement approaches.
