Job summary
- This post is based on site within the Outpatient Department at Northwick Park & St Marks Hospitals.
- The post-holder shall provide comprehensive administrative support to the Service Manager and Staff Development Manager within the Outpatient Department to ensure service objectives are achieved efficiently and compassionately. This will include twice daily walk arounds encompassing all outpatient reception and office areas.
- A key function of this role will include the co-ordination of administrator and supervisor staff rotas, managing administrator and supervisor leave requests and absences and maintaining staffing levels at Northwick Park in order to minimise the impact of absences on the department and the Trust at large.
- Assist the Service Manager and Staff Development Manager in the overseeing of admin staff and investigation of complaints.
- Mentor the Band 4 Supervisors and develop them for more senior roles within the team / Trust.
- Act up for the Staff Development Manager in their absence especially regarding staff review issues - both formal and informal.
- Provide leadership and expertise with information systems and participate in the full range of management activities within the department, including the preparation of data for KPI reports. This role is pivotal in supporting the effective functioning of the department.
Main duties of the job

The post holder must have excellent Excel skills, accurate and fast data input and above average keyboard and word processing skills to complete the rota each week.

Liaise and build mutually beneficial relationships with services, nursing teams and other stakeholders.
