Specialist Grade - Stroke Medicine

Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated specialist grade doctor in Stroke Medicine for this exciting new post in the LNUWH NHS trust in our award-winning stroke service.

Main duties of the job

The appointee will be expected to contribute to delivering the service including the on call rota, departmental audit, research and undergraduate and post graduate teaching. They will have the clinical lead as their clinical supervisor and will be professionally accountable to the Clinical Director.

Northwick Park is a large district teaching hospital in North West London. Transport links to the West End and the shires are excellent with local facilities and both private and public schooling among the best in the country.

Applicants should have full GMC registration, experience and evidence of specialist stroke training.

The Stroke Unit consists of a Hyperacute and Acute Stroke Unit that operates to very strict audit and quality standards. The Unit has been consistently highly rated on the SSNAP audit. We provide 24/7 thrombolysis and comprehensive rehabilitation with an early supported discharge team.
