Job summary
The role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the department in the coordination and delivery of all training and development activities, including Clinical and Essential training programmes and Study days for LNWUH staff. Additionally, the post holder will assist in maintaining the Learning Management System for all aspects of Clinical and Essential Training, administration oversight of the Oliver McGowan Training, including the development of course outlines and prospectuses, managing online bookings, handling course cancellations, monitoring low course uptake, and maintaining training records.
Main duties of the job
The main duties & responsibilities will include:
- Event Management: Oversee learning events, including researching, scheduling, organising, and booking venues. Liaise with learning providers for information and quotations.
- Work Experience and Interns: Manage the placement process for work experience students and interns, resolving delays and coordinating milestones with the line manager and supervisor.
- Training Programmes: Coordinate scheduling and logistics for Clinical, Essential, and Oliver McGowan training programmes. Provide statistical data on attendance and compliance, and liaise with trainers and staff.
- Centralised Booking System: Maintain thecentralised booking system for all training aspects, including online booking, cancellations, low uptake, reminder emails, and pre-requisites.
- Clerical Duties: Update and distribute agendas, reports, and documents for meetings, take minutes, and follow up on actions. Liaise with stakeholders.
- Statistical Reporting: Provide statistical data on essential training, professional development, student experience, and placement types. Produce information for regional and national reports.
- Student Placements: Organise student placements for clinical and non-clinical teams, advise on adjustments, and support pastoral planning for new international nurses
