Consultant in Community Sexual Health and HIV Medicine
Applications are invited for a post available with immediate effect for a CONSULTANT in Genitourinary Medicine / Integrated sexual health at Level 8, The Pasteur Suite Ealing Hospital and The Mattock Lane Sexual Health Service, Mattock Lane Ealing, part of the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. Less than full time commitments would also be welcomed.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with ethnically diverse communities, with a team renowned for innovation in sexual health care. The service provides an integrated sexual health service (ISH) which involves the integration of GUM, and Contraception services in Ealing and provision of HIV care to an established cohort. The Ealing Hospital site is a base for ID &TB services, HIV outpatient and inpatient care for the LNWUH service.
Main duties of the job
The Doctor will be expected to work within the multidisciplinary team to provide a clinical integrated sexual health service & HIV service to Ealing Residents
Clinical duties will include:
- Assessment including examination and treatment of unselected patients attending the sexual health department
- Leading and supporting the Integrated Sexual Health Team.
- Leading and supporting the HIV Service Team
- Providing medical support and training to the Nurse led services
- Provide safe and effective care in line with departmental and national guidelines
