Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and a motivated Nurse for the post of a Digital Telephone Assessment Clinic(TAC). The suitable candidate will have some knowledge of Ear, Nose and & Throat (ENT) as this post will also have responsibility for covering H&N clinics. The successful applicant will work closely with a wide range of professionals including Doctor, specialist nurses, allied health professional including audiologists and speech and language therapists. The H&N team also have a very dedicated admin team working very closely with the clinical team to ensure the 2week wait cancer targets are met. You will be instrumental in contributing to achieving the target with patient satisfaction outcome.

The post holder will be passionate about working with the clinical nurse specialist team, to develop the service and provide outstanding care for our patients.

Main duties of the job

Support the Head and Neck clinical nurse specialist to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care in the digital telephone assessment clinic (TAC).

Responsible for the day-to-day resource management of sending digital questionnaires and managing generic inbox related to digital questionnaires.

Responsible for the safe delivery of questionnaires.

Identify changes that may be required in an area to deliver the service and actively implement these changes with support of the clinical nurse specialist.

Working closely with the head and neck clinical nurse specialist in ENT unit to support the effective and high-quality provision of head and neck cancer services at LNWUH.

The successful applicant will also be expected to work as part of the multidisciplinary team head and neck cancer pathway as well as ENT services.

Act as resource of information for clinical nurse specialists and clinical area

Supporting patients and their carers throughout their head and neck treatment journey from digital TAC, face to face consultation, administration until discharge from ENT clinic.

Liaise effectively with all appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team to promote a seamless service for the patients within the Trust.
