Are you looking to further develop your skills across different adult settings? If so then we want you! We are a team of approximately 30 SLTS who are welcoming, friendly and team focused. We want to provide all of our therapists with the ability to think critically, challenge the evidence base and provide high standards of person-centred care. This involves commitment, motivation and a strong desire to learn and in turn, we will give you our commitment of CPD, the opportunity to develop your clinical skills in acquired dysphagia and communication disorders within the acute setting.
Main duties of the job
This is a permanent, full time post working within our acute inpatient team, HASU, stroke unit and Brent ESD - all based at Northwick Park Hospital. There is the opportunity to develop skills in dysphagia management, cough reflex testing, FEES and VFS competencies , goal-setting, and complex communication management. We actively encourage quality improvement and service development and you will also be able to develop your leadership and supervision skills.

- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
- HCPC registration

Knowledge and experience

- Experience at postgraduate level of working with adults
- Assessment treatment and management of clients with speech, language and communication difficulties relevant to the neurological / acute client group
- Delivering a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions relevant to the above client group
- Working with carers & MDT
- Writing clinical notes and reports.
- Understanding of the principles of clinical governance/ clinical audit
- Managing own caseload
- Delivering training
