Endoscopy Technician

37.5 hours per week

The hours will be as follows: 10am - 6pm / 11am - 7pm

The hours & shifts during the week and times to be at the unit's needs and demands.

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust Endoscopy department is now moving towards a 6 day working week you are being asked to join our large multidisciplinary team of endoscopy technicians across 3 Hospitals, Northwick Park / St Marks @ Central Middlesex and Ealing Hospitals to be part of this team.

The post holder will be part of a team of technicians responsible for the disinfecting and maintenance of endoscopes, maintaining the disinfecting washing machines RO units, and all other accessories.

The job will be undertaken with a high standard of infection control and working within all the policies relevant to the working area.

The post holder will work for the hours stated under the guidance of the Endoscopy Decontamination Services Manager and Supervisors in the Endoscopy Decontamination suites. The post holder will be based in the Endoscopy Decontamination Units Trust wide Northwick Park / St Marks @ Central Middlesex Hospitals.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of a team of technicians responsible for the disinfecting and maintenance of endoscopes, maintaining the disinfecting washing machines, autoclave and all accessories.

The post holder will deputize in the absence of the endoscopy technician supervisor.

The job will be undertaken with a high standard of infection control and working within all the policies relevant to the working area.

The post holder will work alongside other technicians under the guidance of senior staff in the Endoscopy cleaning room.
