Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about providing excellent care and services for people who live with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
You will have significant post registration experience, and knowledge of MS as well as a willingness to learn and a positive 'can do attitude.' Working within a multi-professional environment, the role will challenge you to push forward, be an innovator in your field and act as a role model for standards of care through clinical practice.
Main duties of the job
You will be the professional clinical link between all areas of care for individuals with MS and provide care and support for patients from diagnosis through to ongoing treatment and care. You will provide excellent teaching experience and the chance to contribute to local clinical networks. As a Trust we are committed to the development of our staff and will offer you thorough training and support.
Dedicated MS experience is preferred but candidates willing to evolve their skills will be considered

Essential
- RGN or appropriate HCPC professional registration, minimum degree, with current live Registration and willingness to study at MSc Level
- Advanced communication skills/counselling qualification or willingness to undertake
- Post registration course in MS and/or other neurological conditions.
- Teaching qualification.
- Graduate or Postgraduate physical assessment qualification
Desirable
- Masters Degree
- oNon-Medical Prescribing qualification
- oMS Foundation training (Development Module) through MS Trust
- oResearch Module.
Experience
Essential
- Significant relevant knowledge MS and/or other long-term neurological conditions and the ability to demonstrate expert clinical skills.
- Previous experience working with MDT.
- Experience of formal/informal teaching.
- Understanding of patient pathways its complexities and how to support the patient through this.

- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership Skills.
- Proficient IT skills
- Capable of working independently as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team.
