Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse with a passion for providing excellent care and services to people living with Multiple Sclerosis. We seek a Band 7 MS specialist practitioner with extensive knowledge and understanding of the needs of those with advanced MS and their families.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical expertise and skills, enabling them to plan, deliver, and coordinate complex care in both routine and non-routine situations, ensuring that the needs of individuals with advanced MS and their caregivers are met. You will manage your own caseload autonomously.
Significant post-registration experience and knowledge of MS are essential, along with a willingness to learn and a positive, 'can-do' attitude. This role within a multi-professional environment will challenge you to innovate in your field, push forward, and act as a role model for high standards of care through clinical practice.
You will serve as the professional clinical link across all areas of care for individuals with MS, providing comprehensive support from diagnosis through ongoing treatment. Additionally, you will have opportunities to teach and contribute to local clinical networks.
Our Trust is committed to staff development, offering thorough training and support. This rewarding and challenging role will initially be supported by the MS Trust for 15 months, leading to a permanent position within the MS Team at LNWUH Trust.
Main duties of the job
You will be the professional clinical link between all areas of care for individuals with MS and provide care and support for patients from diagnosis through to ongoing treatment and care. You will provide excellent teaching experience and the chance to contribute to local clinical networks. As a Trust we are committed to the development of our staff and will offer you thorough training and support.
Dedicated MS experience is preferred but candidates willing to evolve their skills will be considered
