Health Care Assistant

Job summary

To assist qualified staff in undertaking personal care duties for patients and report patient's conditions to qualified staff.

Main duties of the job

• Provide reassurance and support to patients, caregivers, and family.

• Provide information to enable the effectiveness of care to be evaluated and records maintained.

• Report any concern regarding patient care.

• Be able to locate all policies relating to good working practice within the clinical area and adhere to them.
• To ensure appropriate information is available on the ward for patients and visitors in relation to health promotion.
• To maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and health service businesses in accordance with Trust Confidentiality Policy and the Data Protection Act
