Aims & General Responsibilities of the Post
This post is initially for one year. The main aim of the posts is to contribute to the Undergraduate Teaching Programme in Medicine on the Northwick Park Campus thus gain experience in teaching. It will also provide an opportunity for research & some further clinical training in one of the aspects of medicine outlined below.
Depending on the interests of the successful applicant, the clinical training & research will take place within Northwick Park Hospital LNWH Trust.
The post holder will be expected to spend at least 75% of their contracted time helping to develop, co-ordinate and deliver a high standard of clinical teaching to the medical students and the remainder of their time in clinical work & research.
However, the numbers of students varies throughout the year (see the "timetable/grand plan" below) & at times there may be greater teaching commitments and at others (particularly June & July) it may be considerably less when the TF may devote much more time to their research & clinical work. Thus flexibility and initiative is essential.
