Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hepatology service within St Mark's on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The Hepatology Coordinator will be responsible for patients being assessed for liver disease & entering and collating patient activity data for the Hepatology department. The post holder will participate as a valued member of the liver service team, assisting with specific duties and taking responsibility for managing a delegated workload within the service under nursing supervision.
Main duties of the job
The Post-holder will:
- Working as a member of the Hepatology specialist team the post holder will provide a combination of organisational support and administrative duties to deliver a service to Hepatology Patients.
- Co-ordinate the arrangements, records and reports for the Hepatology Multi-disciplinary Meeting.
- The Hepatology Coordinator is to assist the Hepatology Team by undertaking delegated aspects of their role for which they have been trained and deemed competent.
- Supporting the weekly Local Hepatology MDT, monthly Hepatology business meeting, monthly Viral Hepatitis meeting, any service development meetings
- Helping with patient Tracking list to plan appointments.
- Helping to prepare and maintain database for various liver conditions.
- The Hepatology Coordinator may not always need daily supervision and should be able to take responsibility for their work within pathways of care and that of others within a broad framework laid down by the Hepatology senior team.
