An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team in the Cardiology Department at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
The Cardiology Investigations Department offers a full range of invasive and non-invasive cardiology investigations across the three sites of Northwick Park, Central Middlesex and Ealing Hospitals.
We are seeking a Senior Cardiographer to join our friendly team performing ECGs, fitting and analysis of ECG Holter's and blood pressure monitors, and assisting with exercise tests . This post will be based across the three sites.
The post holder is also expected to help manage bookings in conjunction with our admin and clerical team and be responsible for ECG stock control. Experience of working with computers is required.
Applications are invited from experienced Cardiographers who hold the SCST certificate in Electrocardiography (or have equivalent experience).
Main duties of the job
To undertake the recording and interpretation of a 12 lead ECG on adults and paediatrics according to SCST guidelines for electrocardiograms.
The post holder should be able to recognise of the main cardiac arrhythmias/any life threatening abnormalities.
Have experience in a busy department and understand the day to day running of the ECG department.
Accurately configuring and initialising the ambulatory ECG recorders and BP monitors. The fitting and analysis of Holter's, 24hr or 7 day tapes.
Fitting, removing and downloading data from 24 hr BP monitors accurately.
To assist cardiac physiologists with exercise ECG testing depending on experience.
A basic knowledge of electrocardiography instrumentation and troubleshooting technical faults.
To undertake preventative maintenance of ECG machines.
