Main duties of the job
This is a full time post within the Adult Speech & Language Therapy Outpatient Voice team. Whilst experience working in the field of Voice is desirable, it is not essential and we will provide training and support as needed. As such, we would welcome applications from Band 6 SLTs currently working in another field. We would also consider applications from established Band 5 SLTs wishing to transition to work with an adult caseload.
You will be based primarily at Northwick Park Hospital with sessions also run at other hospital sites across the Trust. There will be opportunities to input in to our well-established SLT-led voice clinics and Combined voice clinics.
We have excellent links with our ENT colleagues and work closely with them to provide patients with the highest quality care.
We strongly encourage innovation and the successful applicant would have opportunities to be involved in current and future projects within the Department.
There are on-site FEES and Videofluoroscopy clinics and you will be given opportunity to further develop your skills in swallow management including FEES.
Should you have any questions about this position, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your application with you. Please see our contact details below.
