Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic, innovative and friendly team. You must be an enthusiastic, motivated and a patient/staff orientated technician dedicated to patient safety. You should have a keen interest in IT, staff management, education and training and a desire to further develop these skills and knowledge.You will need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team. You will also need to be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills and be committed to continuous professional development.You will be a technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.This is a full time post and the post holder will be required to participate in weekend working and late duties as per rota.
Main duties of the job
Main responsibilities include:
- Deputise for the Distribution Manager to cover in their absence
- Manage day to day services to meetcompliance with GDP and MHRA requirements
- Staff management of the pharmacy stores and Drug distribution, implementation/maintenance of procedures/standards, monitoring of performance and training of staff in areas relating to the stores and distribution
- Train to be a super user for the pharmacy stock control computer system, Omnicell system and pharmacy robot system
