Senior Pharmacy Technician Stores and Distribution Manager

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic, innovative and friendly team. You must be an enthusiastic, motivated and a patient/staff orientated technician dedicated to patient safety. You should have a keen interest in IT, staff management, education and training and a desire to further develop these skills and knowledge.You will need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team. You will also need to be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills and be committed to continuous professional development.You will be a technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.This is a full time post and the post holder will be required to participate in weekend working and late duties as per rota.

Main duties of the job

Main responsibilities include:

  • Deputise for the Distribution Manager to cover in their absence
  • Manage day to day services to meetcompliance with GDP and MHRA requirements
  • Staff management of the pharmacy stores and Drug distribution, implementation/maintenance of procedures/standards, monitoring of performance and training of staff in areas relating to the stores and distribution
  • Train to be a super user for the pharmacy stock control computer system, Omnicell system and pharmacy robot system
