Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a trainee cardiac physiologist with a keen interest in echocardiography at London North West University Hospital Trust. We are pleased to offer a full time post to work within our multi-disciplinary team. Applicants require a BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent and eligible for BSE registration, RCCP /AHCS or equivalent is required. This post will work alongside, under the supervision of the specialist leads to enable us to co-ordinate a quality service.

Previous NHS experience is essential.

Main duties of the job

This is a trainee post for a cardiac physiologist to mainly specialise within echocardiography. We currently undertake a wide variety of non-invasive and invasive tests including ECG, Ambulatory Monitoring, Tilt Table Testing, Exercise Tolerance Testing, Echocardiography (including Dobutamine and Exercise Stress Echo, Transoesophageal, Contrast and Bubble Studies, Specialist Valve Clinics, Advanced Imaging including Speckle Tracking and 3-D Echocardiography and Research), Cardiac Catheterisation and Permanent Pacing; both implant and follow up.
