An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within WeLVIC (West London Vascular and Interventional Radiology Centre). We are looking to appoint a clinical fellow in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. This post will work alongside existing senior trainees and fellows and offers excellent experience working with 6 surgeons and interventional radiologists. The department enjoys an amicable and productive working relationship between surgical and endovascular consultants and has encourages training and research.

The post will provide specialised vascular and interventional radiology experience that will assist in the progression in specialised training.
The post is central to the delivery of vascular and interventional radiology care at London North West Healthcare Trust by supporting the emergency and elective service for patients with vascular pathology.
The post will be primarily based at Northwick Park Hospital and focused on delivering ward, theatre, and clinic support. The post holder will be involved in all aspects of the treatment and management of vascular patients.

ROLE AND DUTIES OF THE POSTHOLDERThe appointee will:- Participate in the continuous provision of vascular service provided by the Trust for patients admitted under the care of the vascular team and in addition cross cover for colleagues when required in a professional and flexible manner to support service delivery- Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team in the care of vascularinpatients and outpatients
- To participate in the departments audit and research programmes under the supervision of nominated clinical supervisors.- To take part in a 1:6 rotation (including nights and weekends) and to coverUrology in addition to vascular during night shifts.
- To offer vascular and urological opinions for medical patients. In the event of an emergency to assess and resuscitate patients that require it but it is not the post holders responsibility to deal with patients from other specialties which remains the sole responsibility of the team of the individual specialty.- Attend handover at 08.00 and 20.00- To be expected to participate in the assessment of emergency patients in the accident and emergency department.
