Job summary
London North West Healthcare Trust are expanding their hospital specialist palliative care provision.Applicants are invited to apply for a new Palliative Medicine consultant post at Ealing Hospital providing an exciting opportunity to expand and develop specialist palliative care services in an acute hospital setting. The post holder will be fully supported by the end of life care team across London North West Healthcare Trust and the specialist palliative care team at Meadow House Hospice.
We invite full time or less than full time applicants to join our enthusiastic and dedicated multidisciplinary team to help integrate specialist palliative care provision across Ealing Hospital, Meadow House Hospice and the community aiming to provide excellent seamless care to local specialist palliative care patients.

Main duties of the job
The post is primarily based in Ealing Hospital where you will be expected to;
- To provide consultant level specialist palliative medicine expertise to palliative care patients at Ealing Hospital.
- To provide support for medical and surgical colleagues with complex decision making and discussions with patients with palliative and end of life care needs.
- To play a role in improving the palliative care for patients in Ealing Hospital, Meadow House inpatient unit, community and other care environments and improving continuity of care as patients transition between these environments.
- To work alongside other specialist palliative care personnel to continuously improve the skills of Trust staff of all disciplines
- To contribute to the palliative care team's education and training programme for healthcare professionals on palliative care topics r
- To participate in the managerial and strategic work of the service, contributing to the constant modernisation and quality improvement of the service
