Service Delivery Manager for Cardiology & Dermatology
An exciting fixed-term, maternity leave cover opportunity has arisen to join London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust as Service Delivery Manager for Cardiology and Dermatology within the division of Medicine & Therapies.
The successful potholder will be operationally responsible for the service portfolio, ensuring excellent performance, demonstrating strong leadership and working to develop services to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and experience.
Your responsibilities will include the management of the DM01 performance targets within the Cardiology Service. Therefore, a good understanding of diagnostic and admission pathways is essential.
You will also oversee the outpatient service for both Dermatology and Cardiology, including delivery of RTT and cancer targets. In addition, you will support efficient flow of in-patients through cardiology wards on the acute sites by championing best practice routines of daily Board Rounds, and use of clinical care planning and discharge tools including ADD, MFFD and an understanding of delays to discharge.
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated emerging leader, able to work well with a team and has the ability to connect quickly with a variety of staff. The role will involve multiple priorities, so you will need to be highly organised and able to multi-task and manage your time effectively.
Main duties of the job
Working with other members of the Divisional Team, the Service Delivery Manager will support the Senior Management and Clinical Teams in the planning and delivery of clinical services and ensure the achievement of key objectives. The post holder will work across organisational boundaries to ensure appropriate services are in place and to deliver national and local strategic and operational service objectives and standards.
This will include responsibility for service planning, project management and, ensuring that there are systems in place to monitor and measure Specialty performance. They will have direct responsibility for ensuring that resources are utilised efficiently.
