Main duties of the job

To be successful in this role, you'll need a relevant nursing qualification, as well as strong team-working skills, a high level of self-motivation, and a flexible approach. Above all, you should have a positive attitude, be naturally caring and compassionate, and be committed to providing high-quality care that is evidence-based and values-driven.

The post holder will assist in the provision of day to day care for patients requiring one to one supervision and for patients who have mental health needs. You will ensure that the healthcare support workers in the EOT are performing at their optimum level and the team is delivering a responsive, high quality and patient friendly service.

This is a 24/7 service, and you'll work a variety of shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays, and nights. We are recruiting across sites to cover Ealing and Northwick Park Hospital, giving you the opportunity to work in a range of different environments and gain valuable experience.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Mental capacity Act and DOLS
  • An understanding of the risk assessment process (including deliberate self-harm).

  • Experience working in a dementia care setting.
