Job summary
The role of Clinical Practice Facilitator is a key component of the support provided to pre-registration nursing students in clinical practice. The post holder will be a resource for students and staff and will be liaison with University partners in relation to all student learners, but with a role focus for Registered Nurse Degree Apprentices(RNDA)
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for timely recruitment of RNDA students to University programmes of study
- Provide line management to all RNDA students employed by LNWH liaising closely with clinical practice colleagues in relation to development and support requirements
- Attend tri-partite meetings relating to all RNDA students
- To support the development of all student nurses/ during their training.
- This will involve ensuring clear processes are established to support their induction, development and progress throughout the programme
- To lead on the increase of the clinical placement capacity with colleagues to ensure a quality learning experience
- To act as the named person in the organisation for Approved Education Institutes (AEI's), regarding clinical placement provision
- To support the Trust with the management of the learning experience for pre and post registration nurses working within the Trust
- To support the development of post registration nurses in practice through implementation of clinical supervision programmes in collaboration with clinical colleagues
