Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking Technician to join the Distribution team. We are looking for a self-motivated and adaptable Technician with good communication skills to take on this challenging post.
The post holder will provide support to Distribution Manager who is responsible for managing the safe receipt, storage and distribution of all medicines. The role will involve providing senior oversight of the stores and distribution activities and assist in helping to ensure that a high standard of good stock control is maintained within the department. The purpose of this post is to lead the day to day activities of the distribution team and assist and train to be a super user for Pharmacy Automation Systems
Main duties of the job
Main responsibilities include:
- Deputise for the Distribution Manager to cover in their absence
- Manage day to day services to meetcompliance with GDP and MHRA requirements
- Staff management of the pharmacy drug distribution, implementation/maintenance of procedures/standards, monitoring of performance and training of staff in areas relating to distribution
- Train to be a super userfor the pharmacy stock control computer system,Omnicell system andpharmacy automation
