We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our Enhanced Observation Team (EOT) and contribute to the delivery of evidence-based, high-quality care within budgetary constraints.

Are you passionate about providing exceptional care to patients with acute mental health needs? Do you thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking two dedicated and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurses (Band 6) to join our team at Northwick Park Hospital and Ealing Hospital. As a senior member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading, supervising, and providing day-to-day advice and guidance on the care of patients who are acutely mentally ill, including those suffering from dementia, delirium, or other acute illnesses. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with a Band 7 Lead Mental Health Nurse, you will have the support and mentorship needed to excel in your role. Your main focus will be facilitating timely and effective assessment of patients requiring enhanced nursing care. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop patient-focused care plans, ensuring that specialist input is incorporated. Your dedication to patient safety will be paramount as you maintain a high standard of care and provide ongoing evaluation of prescribed treatments.

In addition to your patient-centered responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to take on a leadership role in ensuring that staff members are supported and educated on all aspects of the Mental Health Act (MHA). Your expertise will contribute to the adherence of relevant policies and legislative requirements, further enhancing the quality of care provided by our team.

This is a unique position that will require close collaboration with our Liaison Psychiatry Team. Together, you will jointly deliver specialist mental health care across our trust, creating a seamless and comprehensive care experience for our patients.

Note: This job advertisement is for two positions, one at Northwick Park Hospital and the other at Ealing Hospital. Please specify your preferred location in your application.
