Staff Nurse Preoperative assessment

Job summary

As a band 5 you would carry out Nurse Led pre-operative assessment of patients from a range of surgical specialities.

Undertake POA of patients on our electronic system called MyPreOp - on ASA 1 and ASA2 cases

Initiate and follow through investigations and referrals to other health care professionals according to agreed protocols. Commence necessary planning for perioperative care.

Maintain close liaison with staff concerned with planning and scheduling patient admissions.

Main duties of the job

Due to retirement and internal promotion we have have excellent oppportunity to join our pre assessment team - presently based at Central Middlesex hospital.

You will receive training on our POA tool with on going training offered in ECG and bloods investigation results
