Job summary

This role is designed for the Chief Cardiac Physiologist with a broad based knowledge of cardiology investigations within London North West Healthcare trust. The position is designed to work in all cardiac clinical areas across the sites as well as the new CDC. It encompasses 7 day flexible working.

You will be expected to carry out-patient and in-patient cardiac investigations. These primarily include, ECG's, 24hr tapes and BP's, performing and reporting on routine and complex echocardiograms, 2D and 3D echo studies independently and provide an accurate clinical report to BSE minimum data setstandards.

To work among a team as an independent practitioner and to deliver an effective and efficient service with high standards of care across the Cardiology sites.

The successful candidate will be required to have:

BSc (Hon) in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.

BSE accredited or equivalent.

Main duties of the job

Working throughout the trust you will be expected to deliver a wide range of cardiology diagnostics. From ECG's, 24hr tapes and BP's, performing and reporting on routine and complex echocardiograms. Depending on your experience to work the the labs for angiograms/PCI;s and pacing implants and follow ups. The role is for 7 day flexible working.

As an independent practitioner you will be expected to be proficient with the BSE reporting guidelines and the minimum data set required. Provide a safe and welcoming clinical environment for the patient throughout their journey.

You will be expected to oversee junior staff within all clinical areas and aid the training programme of students and new qualified staff.
