The ideal candidate would be educated to NVQ or equivalent experience and have experience of using LMS, experience of producing complex reports, an excellent customer care approach, a friendly approachable manner, with IT skills, adaptability, and an eye for detail.
A strong work ethic, desire to learn and an advance knowledge of Microsoft Office packages are essential. Experience of supporting an experience of using Learning Management Systems is advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided.
This position is for 9 months as a secondment.
Main duties of the job
As a Training and Systems Officer, you will support the training and system lead to maintain effective and efficient systems and processes to ensure that the Trust complies with education and corporate governance frameworks. Operationally oversee and support the administration of Mandatory and Statutory Training (MAST), Clinical Skills Training, appraisal training and learning within the department. You will play an important role in managing internal and external relationships particularly with respect to internal Subject Matter Experts.
You will ensure the delivery of high-quality systems administration to support trust-wide learning & development activities, maintenance and management of the Trust's learning management systems (LMS) and interface with workforce databases.
You will actively liaise with the HR Workforce Information team to access relevant workforce information as required from the Electronic Staff Records (ESR) database to support the reporting and recording of information.
You will be a system expert and will work as part of a team responsible for the building, implementation, and training of staff on the E-Rostering system. The role will also include everyday system maintenance and support of the E-Rostering system across the Trusts geographical area.

Support the Training and System lead in the management of the service learning management systems (LMS).
Actively liaise with the HR Workforce Information team to access relevant workforce information as required from the Electronic Staff Records (ESR) database.
Support the comprehensive delivery of day-to-day administrative support for the service.
Ensure that the Trust has an effective system in place to monitor the performance of learning and OD against agreed standards as set by the Trust Board, commissioners and regulatory bodies.
Support the setup and maintaining of effective and efficient systems and processes for the Learning and OD administrative function.
To manage and respond proactively escalated complaints, issues, emerging trends or difficulties about the service, resolving/addressing them as far as possible.
Analyse, investigate and resolved complex data queries and issues demonstrating high levels of numeracy and analytical skills.
Produce learning and development and workforce reports for circulation across the organisation and to support information for the Trust committees and groups.
Assist the OD advisors in the development of learning & development initiatives in line with local, regional and national guidelines and policy.
Trouble-shoot on systems issues and actively identify solutions to improve the delivery of service.
Liaise with colleagues in order to ensure that an effective induction programme is in place for all staff.
Develop and implement excellent customer service standards across the service.
Deputise in the line management of the Senior Training Supervisor and Training administrators.
Analysis and reporting
Carry-out evaluation on initiatives within designated work streams to ensure that they are fit for purpose.
Work with the Learning technology lead, on innovative service improvement initiatives to support training and development activities.
Take part in data collection, reporting, evaluation, audit and research activity as required.
Produce regular progress reports on learning and development activities and compliance for a wide range of stakeholders, including patients and user groups in formal settings.
Project and Information Management
Provide statistical information to support and enhance the learning and OD strategic plans and all training activity across the Trust.
Represent the service as appropriate on projects and at meetings and participate in multidisciplinary teams within the Trust in order to develop the use of information in key areas.
Produce, document, and maintain Learning Management System operational procedures, check list for all areas of work, and ensure these are held centrally and accessible to other members of the Learningand OD service.
Support the Assistant Director of OD and Learning to respond to all external and internal reporting requirements.
Communication
Maintain high standards of written and verbal communication in the LMS Support team.
Attend meetings as appropriate for the purpose of contributing to the development of wider whole system processes/pathways, for the purpose of promoting a positive image for the service.
Work with colleagues to support campaigns relating to the Staff Survey and other learning and development initiatives.
