The role is to assist with the delivery of capital Estates and Sustainability projects across the five counties of the EMAS estate.
Main duties of the job
To provide professional project manager advice and skills to manage the scoping and delivery of the Estates and Sustainability teams' capital works programme, reporting to the Assistant Director of Estates.
This is a key position in the EMAS Estates Team supporting the Assistant Director of Estates to deliver strategic capital 'built environment' projects, working on a variety of schemes that enable the Trust to deliver a future proof and fit for purpose estate.
The role is responsible for leading and delivering projects as the 'Project Manager' and 'Contract Administrator', leading design teams as the client's representative, managing stakeholders' interest and expectations, cost management through to completion.
This is a varied role with considerable stakeholder engagement at all levels and the liaison and management of both internal and external teams, contractors and organisations. The Estates Capital Project Manager will be a specialist 'subject matter expert' providing advice and leadership ensuring that projects are kept on programme, meet the stakeholder requirements, are on budget, in line with the trust Estate strategy, Green Plan and other specific schemes identified in a fast moving and evolving built environment.

Plan, manage and monitor the delivery of the Estates and Sustainability capital funded projects. Project values can be in the region of £5M yearly, however this value may be exceeded during busy periods.
Work closely with colleagues and key stakeholders including project and programme board members to ensure that capital projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Using PRINCE2/AGILE project management skills, methodology and checkpoints to deliver capital funded built environment projects across all areas of the Trust. Projects will be a mixture of building related, engineering and sustainability schemes.Develop and maintain project documentation. This will include Project Implementation Documents (PIDS), plans and programmes, specifications and drawings, risk registers and CDM (2015) compliance information, change management and waypoints/gateways monitoring to completion.
Work with procurement specialists to identify and deliver suitable routes to market to procure works.Provide reporting at key stages of projects to Estates, Sustainability, programme boards and committees as directed and/or as required by specific funding streams.
For each project working with stakeholders, identify, generate and maintain a suitable risk register, ensuring that it is reviewed regularly, shared with stakeholders and mitigations are actioned in a timely manner.

- Degree educated with post graduate knowledge and experience.
- Experience of successfully managing complex projects
- Working knowledge contracts and statutory standards, including the Construction, Design and Management Regulations (CDM2015), HTM's, British Standards and Codes of Practice.
- Experience of statutory compliance and how it fits within capital projects
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to develop strategies
