Job summary
The undergraduate placement would work in conjunction with the Network Managers to support in the day to day delivery of the Network goals. It is a "learning role" allowing the placement to put into practice skills learnt within their degree programme as well as learn transferrable skills for future employment.
The role would be undertaking tasks under supervision of and with the support of the Network Manager. They would also support day to day administration tasks, data collection and analysis, financial management and project management.
Main duties of the job
To lead a Network project, under supervision from the Senior Network Manager
To support data collection and analysis
To support the financial management of the Networks including procurement of items, invoice management
To work closely with the Networks teams to achieve the Networks goals
To engage and liaise with stakeholders on Network matters
To present a professional, welcoming and helpful image to staff, other organisations and the public.
To ensure the effective and appropriate management of meetings dealing with correspondence including emails and dealing with telephone and other enquiries.
To assist in regional events - conferences, self-assessments, seminars and meetings, arranging venues, hospitality and distributing any relevant documentation.

To be able to take notes of meetings to a high standard and accurately record discussions, decisions and actions from these meetings.
To maintain an awareness of ongoing issues in order to be able to chase up actions prior to meetings taking place.
Take clear precise telephone messages
Ensure all communication is dealt with in a timely, efficient manner and deadlines are met.
To deal with queries from a wide range of organisations and individuals in a professional and sensitive manner, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
To assist with the development and maintenance of the network website
Any other reasonable duties allocated by the Network Managers within the level of responsibilities and scope of the post as may be required
