Main duties of the job

Learning and Development Manager

Based within the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), the post holder is responsible to lead on devising, preparing and delivering training interventions and assessments to meet organisation needs and initiatives for EOC. This relates to training for both new and existing x EOC staff and external bodies when required.

Successful candidates will have previous experience of leading, devising and introducing of learning programmes within a high paced control room environment and demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a team whilst having line manager responsibility for the Education and Non-Clinical Auditors.

The ability to work on their own initiative within a team and have effective verbal communication skills and be computer literate.

  • Post registration/graduate diploma or have equivalent experience
  • Teaching qualification PGCE/Cert ED with a minimum of three years' experience

Desirable

  • NHS Pathways Accredited Trainer

  • Proven experience in an education environment evidenced through practice portfolio including current experience of the call taker and dispatcher role.
